2. How the App Works
Screen Cast operates entirely on your device and local network:
- 📱Local Processing: All casting operations are performed directly between your device and the target display device (TV, Chromecast, etc.)
- 🔍Device Discovery: The app scans your local network to find compatible devices using standard protocols (DLNA, UPnP, Chromecast)
- 🎬Media Streaming: When you cast content, it is streamed directly from your device to the receiving device without passing through our servers
- 📺No Cloud Storage: Nothing is uploaded to the cloud or external servers
3. Permissions Required
Screen Cast requires certain Android permissions to function. Here's why each permission is needed:
🔌 Network Access
Why needed: To discover casting devices on your local network and stream content to them.
What we do: Only used to establish direct connections with casting devices on your WiFi network.
📂 Storage Access
Why needed: To allow you to select photos, videos, and music files for casting.
What we do: Only read files you explicitly select. We do not scan or access other files.
📷 Camera/Microphone (Optional)
Why needed: Only if you choose to use screen mirroring features.
What we do: Stream content only when you actively use the mirroring feature.
ℹ️Permission Note: All permissions are used solely for app functionality. No data leaves your device except for the content you choose to cast to your local network devices.
4. IPTV Feature Disclaimer
⚠️Important Notice
The IPTV import feature allows you to add and play your own IPTV sources. Please note:
- We do not provide, store, or distribute any IPTV content or sources
- You are solely responsible for ensuring your IPTV sources are legal and authorized
- We do not monitor, review, or control the content you import
- Users must comply with all applicable copyright laws and regulations
- The app only provides technical playback functionality
5. Third-Party Services
Screen Cast may interact with third-party protocols and services:
DLNA/UPnP
Open standard protocols for local network device communication. No data is sent to external servers.
Google Chromecast
When casting to Chromecast devices, your content is sent directly to the Chromecast device. Google's Chromecast privacy policy applies to the Chromecast device itself, not to our app.

Even though we don't collect data, we take security seriously:
